Tuesday, September 9 is the National Day of Action for the dedication to raising awareness about Parkinson’s Disease and the need to find a cure. On this day, multiple organizations, healthcare professionals from across the planet, and advocates from all over across the country will come together to educate the public about the causes, effects, and daily realities of living with Parkinson’s and how the medical, emotional, and social aspects burden and complicate daily living.
Leaders from several organizations will engage with lawmakers, and highlight the challenges of the disease and the need for additional funding and research. The National Day of Action is a chance to bring communities together from every walk of the Parkinson’s life to share patients’ voices, and work together to improve care and speed up research to one day find a cure.
World Parkinson’s Day follows on is April 11, by the international community for a global push to help end the disease.
Also, on September 10, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm EST, the Parkinson’s Foundation will be hosting The PD Solo Network , a virtual event designed to support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease who live alone, by choice or by circumstance.
